Parmotrema perlatum or simply the Stone Flower and known locally in Uttarakhand as Chadila. Its lichen that grows and is used all across India both as spice and for uncountable health benefits. The earthy aroma it adds to Meat Preparations like Kebabs, Curries and Biryanis is unmatchable. The taste of meat preparations with Chadila added becomes so unique that people have been using it for generations as tradition and its absence in the meat preparations makes them feel incomplete. The Chadila harvested in Uttarakhand tastes distinct in authenticity and offers the enhanced mountain purity it carries with. Its a well known fact that farming in Uttarakhand is free of any synthetic chemicals and fertilizers. Natural Farming is a second nature of farmers here. The produce is humble and in its unprocessed natural state. We proudly support the farmers and their belief in feeding and making Indian a Natural farming place preserving the mother Earth.
